Introductions

Hello readers!

I'll admit, this is not my first blog, but I decided to start on a clean slate.  I tend to start a blog, get distracted and then forget to continue it.  But I hope that this blog is different.  I hope, and pray, that this is finally the blog that sticks.

Previous blogs have been about promoting my writing and my struggle to become an author.  However school, work, and pure laziness have always gotten in the way of me writing much, so there isn't really much to blog about.

Since my last blog floundered, a few things happened.  I joined the work force.  Becoming a part of one of the largest retail companies in the United States tends to have a negative effect on free time, and my blog ground to a halt.  Then in June, 2011 my life changed forever for the better.  I became a mother of a beautiful baby girl.  With all these changes it has become increasingly harder to find time to write- or to be more honest, to get up the motivation to write.

This blog is my attempt to start disciplining myself to both read, and write more often.  It will start with a simple commitment to you- the reader.  Every Friday I will post a book review about a book I've finished in the last week or two.  The review will give a quick synopsis, the parts of the book that I liked, the parts of the book I didn't like, and a couple of notable quotes.

This may not seem like much of a commitment, and I know, it is not, but I've learned the hard way that I do not change quickly, and I tend to stall out all together if I try to change too much, too quickly.

So until next Friday,
Namaste.
